Our client is seeking an experienced and energetic Sage 500 Software Consultant. You can work from anywhere in the US and work remotely with up to 40%
Responsibilities
- Have a working knowledge of Sage 500 business software system (ERP).
- Have experience in pre-sales, product implementation, training and providing client support within the Sage 500 environment.
- Have experience throughout the complete Sage 500 software development life-cycle.
- Technical experience in understanding the Sage 500 product framework and requirements.
- Project management experience in utilizing appropriate tools and resources to document processes, timelines and responsibilities. Solid communication skills with good follow-up and follow-through on assigned tasks and responsibilities to timeline.
- Provide friendly phone, on-line, and on-site consulting services for our clients using Sage 500 software (ERP).
Qualifications
If you possess the following experience, skills and qualities, we want to hear from you:
- Minimum of 2 plus year experience as an Implementation Consultant handling at least 3-5 Sage 500 implementations, which include but are not limited to, setup, configuration and, if applicable, customization of the Sage 500 application.
- Understanding of operational processes and requirements in the ERP world, including but not limited to distribution and/or manufacturing with a functional competency in accounting, shop floor, quote to cash, procure to play, operations, ecommerce or CRM functions highly desired.
- Experience in providing pre-sales support to the Sales team via product demonstrations and assisting in needs analysis and complex solution recommendations.
- Experience with project scoping, planning, requirements gathering, business process mapping and end-to-end process experience required.
- Experience in utilizing defined and structured implementation processes and project management methodologies required.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and solid Microsoft Office skills required.
- Demonstrated skills of leading clients and team members through successful implementations.
- Experience providing client support in a telephone, on-line and on-site environment.
- Assess and develop innovative solutions to solve complex business workflows for clients in the Sage 500 environment.
- Design, develop and test enhancements in alignment with client’s business process requirements.
- Implement new feature rollouts and new functionality to scale client’s business needs.
- Assist and train clients on security management.
- Develop client reports.
- Test for compatibility and proper function of applications including Sage authorized third party software products.
- Advise, coordinate and assist with required interfaces to client internal / external applications.
- Provide client training.
- Provide product support by researching and interpreting information in a way that clients are able to understand.
- Document client interactions, requirements and concerns in CRM
- Demonstrate strong focus on quality outcomes and customer satisfaction
- Customer relationship acumen and experienced consulting skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects, with multiple clients and the pressures of managing to required timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to take direction as well as work autonomously
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Attend internal Consulting meetings, participate in knowledge sharing, mentoring, and Q&A.
- Ability to provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of duties.
- A bachelor’s degree desired.
