Our client is a technology leader of self-service solutions in hardware, software, and banking services with over 29 years of experience in the industry. Their operations were established in 2007, and fastly became the number one provider of retail ATM's in the U.S. and Canada, and have quickly become one of the top 2 players in the U.S. financial institutions market. They are looking to add a ATM/ Software specialist to work out of our corporate office in Irving, Texas, so must live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
We're looking for a QA engineer with 2-3 years of manual testing experience as well as the ability to write technical, end user documents. In this position, the ATM Software specialist will conduct testing and write documentation on retail ATM’s in preparation for release of software to customers. This position will also provide high level technical support. This job involves hardware and software testing, documentation, and technical services. The ATM Software Specialist will be expected to analyze business requirements and specifications, design and execute tests, record and report results, generate defect records, and write manuals. The primary objective for this candidate will be to drive the testing process through development, execution of test scenarios, regression testing, problem report, documentation of testing, and writing and maintaining manuals. The ATM Software Specialist would also facilitate the development team through diagnoses on problem creation. Issue Tracking and communication is expected through generation of reports, as well as status of test coverage for assigned software products.
Responsibilities
- The ATM/Software Specialist will have a solid understanding of software testing methodology and system development life cycle.
- This knowledge and experience will be used to design and maintain test plans, scenarios, and scripts for various software product development efforts.
- The ATM/Software Specialist will be responsible for performing unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, functional testing, client acceptance testing, user interface testing using the plans, and scripts developed.
- Documentation of testing and making and maintaining manuals are required.
- Participation in design specification reviews and technical documentation reviews is essential to performing these duties.
- The ATM/Software Specialist technical skills will be utilized to construct various testing tools and scripts to be used by other engineers.
- Providing high level technical support to internal staff and customers required.

Education, Skills & experience
- 3+ years’ experience in software testing and quality assurance
- 1+ years’ designing and implementing test plans, scripts, and scenarios
- Practical working knowledge of software testing methodology
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional analytic and problem solving skills
- Ability to document and make and maintain manuals
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
- 1+ years on problem report tracking software
- Previous experience with retail ATM a plus
